FMC(K-talk)

It is a service that provides various functions such as telephone via smartphone (WiFi, LTE, 3G) and staff inquiry, 1:1, or group chat.

Target of use

All staff

Function

  • Internal/External phone calls
  • Staff inquiry (departments, names, photographs, phone numbers, e-mail, etc.)
  • Registration number on the phone
  • Chatting and memo function

How to configure

Access at http://atmessenger.co.kr/kaist

Install application based on the manual.

Run the K-Talk app and insert the portal ID and initial password to log in.

In the Settings/FMC Settings tab at the top of the screen, modify the following:(iPhone not affected)

  • Out-of-office wireless LAN (WiFi) usage settings/mode of use: Outbound/Inbound usage
  • Data network usage settings/user mode: Outbound/Inbound usage (data expenses can be incurred)
  • Outgoing configuration —Only personal phones are used when making calls.

Configuration Verification

If you see the icon, the configuration is complete (iPhone not affected).

How to use

Phone

  • Outgoing call : Same as extension call
  • Incoming call(When the phone number is 07xxxx)
    • Internal : 07xxxx
    • External : 042-351-xxxx

Notes

  • In order to protect personal information, please make sure to change and use the initial password.
  • If you lose your smartphone, please report it immediately to the communication room (T.2000) or email to kbill@kaist.ac.kr
